Trung Ta is a Project Manager with Raytheon Company. He has been working for Defenses and Aerospace companies such as Raytheon Company, Hughes Aircraft Company and Boeing Company for more than 30 years.
Trung is well known in Southern California Vietnamese community as an Educator and a Community Leader. He has been dedicating his community services in the last 30 years to reserve and promote Vietnamese traditions and languages. Trung was the Founder and Founding Chair of Vietnamese Cultural Center, Vice-Chair of Hong Bang Vietnamese School, Chair of Viet Olympiad Giai Khuyen Hoc, Vice-Chair of Saint Anselm’s Cross-Cultural Community Center, Executive Vice President of Vietnamese American Aerospace Professionals Association (VAAPA) and Measure C & M Citizens’ Oversight Committee Member of Coast Community College District.
Currently, he is Vice-Chair External Affair of Lac Hong Vietnamese Traditional Performing Art Group, President of Binh Thuan Province Friendship Association and Chair of VAAPA MathCounts Competition.
Realizing that the best way to serve the community is to participate in politics. Trung joined Democratic Party in 2000 and became the Orange County and California State Central Committee Member, Executive Board Member of the California Democratic Party and Chair of the 72nd Assembly District Alliance Democratic Club in Orange County. Trung formed and served as the Founding Chair of Vietnamese American Democratic Club (VADC).
Trung also involved in National politics. During election 2008, he was Vietnamese American National Co-Chair and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Southern California Co-Chair for Hillary Clinton for President. He later served as a Member of AAPI Leadership Team for Barrack Obama’s Presidential Campaign. During 2012 election, Trung was Co-Founder and National Co-Chair of the Vietnamese American for Obama. During 2016 election, Trung was a Member of AAPI Leadership Team for Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign. He was invited to speak at Presidential Candidate event three times when Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton came to Southern California.
